Instructions for Use: All-In-One Sterilized Grow Bag

STEP 1:

Prepare and sanitize your workspace. If utilizing a still air box, meticulously clean its interior by wiping down surfaces and the lid with 70% isopropyl alcohol or bleach wipes. If working without a still air box, select a room with minimal airflow. Thoroughly sanitize the work surface and then clean the exterior of the grow bag, including the black injection port.

STEP 2:

Once the alcohol or bleach has dried from the bag, securely attach the needle to your syringe. Ensure it is fully attached before removing the syringe cap.

STEP 3:

Remove the syringe cap and use a lighter to heat the metal syringe tip until it becomes red hot. Cease heating once it reaches this state, avoiding overheating as it may damage the plastic attachment. Allow the syringe tip to cool from red hot. Avoid any contact with the needle or wiping it with anything.

STEP 4:

After the syringe tip has cooled, wait approximately 3 seconds, then carefully insert it into the rubber injection port. While injecting, move the needle around within the port. Inject between 2-4cc of genetic material into the bag. Exceeding 2-4cc is unnecessary. For single bag use, injecting up to 10cc of genetic material is permissible but not required.

STEP 5:

Withdraw the syringe, recap the needle, and if reusing, replace the syringe cap. Dispose of the syringe and needle appropriately if not reused.

STEP 6:

Allow the grain to colonize, which typically takes 2-4 weeks depending on genetics and environmental conditions. Maintain a dark environment with temperatures between 70-75°F. If the temperature is cooler, use a heat mat, placing the bag inside a tote or box on the mat to ensure even warming and prevent drying out of the bag's bottom.

Observe only white mycelium growth in the grain. Discard the bag if any signs of contaminants such as cloudy moisture, unusual colors, or black growth appear. Contact us with pictures if uncertain about the growth.

Exercise patience. Refrain from disturbing the bag for a minimum of 2 weeks after injection. Handling the bag excessively may damage mycelium growth and impede progress.

We do not provide warranties for genetics obtained from other vendors. Contact the respective vendor for any issues with genetic material.

STEP 7:

When grain colonization reaches 50-80% (white), thoroughly break up the colonized grain and mix it into the substrate layer. Lay the bag flat and roll the material to mix adequately. After mixing, hold the bag by the top portion and shake to loosen material stuck at the top. Pat the bottom of the bag to dislodge any remaining material. Some material may remain, which is acceptable as long as no grains linger above. Slightly press on the top and sides to compact the substrate block.

STEP 8:

Allow the substrate to colonize for another 2-4 weeks under the same conditions as before. Maintain temperatures between 70-75°F in darkness.

You may choose from several fruiting methods once fully colonized:

- Cut the top seal of the bag to allow fresh air entry, signaling to the bag where fresh air comes from, facilitating CO2 release and initiating fruiting. Maintain moisture by misting daily and consider placing the bag in a tote to prevent drying out.

 - For oyster or lion's mane mushrooms, cut 2 ½ inch crossing lines forming an X into the short sides of the bag. Fold the top of the bag over to push air inside out, promoting fruiting from the holes instead of the top of the block. Spray the holes 2-3 times daily to maintain moisture.

- Alternatively, remove the bag entirely and fruit the block as a cake. Place the block inside a tub lined with moist perlite for humidity. Provide fresh air at least twice daily by fanning the tote's top.

Adjust humidity levels accordingly based on the fruiting method chosen.

**HARVEST:**

Harvest mushrooms by twisting and pulling the base of the fruit or cutting it with scissors. Dispose of the block responsibly or dunk it to encourage additional flushes. If top-fruited, fill the bag with cold water, let sit for 1 hour, drain, and repeat. For side-fruited bags, soak in water for 1 hour, drain through the side hole, and repeat. Second flushes typically yield smaller harvests.

IN LAYMAN’S TERMS:

1. Once you receive your grow bag, ensure that the packaging is intact and unopened.

2. Before use, sterilize the surface area where you'll be working, preferably in a clean and well-ventilated environment. Wash your hands and wear gloves.

3. Open the packaging carefully, avoiding any contamination from external sources.

4. Inject the desired genetic material through the self-healing injection port using a sterile syringe.

5. Close the injection port securely after introducing the genetic material.

6. Allow the bag to incubate in a suitable environment with appropriate temperature and humidity conditions.

7. Monitor the growth progress regularly, ensuring that the air filter remains clean and unobstructed.

8. Harvest your yield when it reaches the desired maturity level, typically between ¼ oz to 1 oz, depending on the genetics.

9. Dispose of the used grow bag responsibly after harvesting.

Storage: Store the grow bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight until ready for use.

**Warning:** Handle with care to avoid damage to the injection port and air filter. Do not expose the grow bag to extreme temperatures or contaminants.

Note: For best results, follow proper cultivation techniques and guidelines. Results may vary based on environmental factors and genetics.
